Carol Frey Kovacs

Carol is a native of Ohio, is a retired art teacher who graduated from the University of Akron in Ohio. She also studied at Ohio University and University of New Mexico. For many years, she has painted in a variety of mediums and after moving to Texas she has explored new creative techniques with the Dallas Area Fiber Artists organization. Carol says she moved to McKinney because of the historic art club and has served as President twice and is still very active with that group. She has recently stepped into a new field of painting with clay glazes on pottery turning out dozens of pieces for the Empty Bowls fundraiser in the past 3 years. She loves doing these pieces for such a worthy cause! Carol has entered the previous Art Meets Floral event by creating a simple floral entry only. This time she is entering both an original oil painting and the floral interpretation of her art.lindartsa@aol.com
